Divemaster Certification

The Divemaster course has been developed to provide leadership training for qualified divers who wish to serve the dive community as a dive guide and to assist with student training. The Divemaster course may be a stepping stone for those wishing to pursue an Instructor rating.

While minimum standards are outlined, The Dive Outfitters takes a very "hands-on" approach with all leadership training. We feel it is not enough to just hand out a textbook and exam.

Candidates for leadership courses will be required to assist with classroom training, pool training, and open water training. They will be directly involved with students and other certified divers while developing their leadership skills. This will not only develop strong leadership and people skills, but candidates will find their own scuba diving skills enhanced greatly by this hands-on experience.
